CATAWBA, N.C. — A 35-year-old North Carolina man was arrested on Wednesday after police found a real gun disguised as a toy gun during a drug raid.

The Glock 19 pistol and 50-round drum magazine were painted blue and orange with a Nerf logo on it, according to the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.

While firearms of this type are not illegal to possess, officers said it is concerning.

Officials also found 20 other firearms during the search of the home along withcocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana and $2,300 in cash.

Damien Alonzo Burch was arrested and charged with felonious possession of cocaine, felonious possession of mushrooms and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Burch is being held on a $20,000 unsecured bond and had his first court appearance on Thursday.
