Police looking for information after roof vandalized at Pet Helpers on Folly Road

Charleston Police are looking for information after vandals caused thousands of dollars in damages to the Pet Helpers animal shelter on 1447 Folly Road.

The damage included a hole cut into the roof of the hurricane-proof building, along with another cut, according to the shelter. It also says the hole caused one of the building's offices to be flooded with rainwater, and sent in the video below.

The animal shelter says there were also signs of tampering around A/C units and two security cameras.

Pet Helpers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator W.T. Cherry (843) 720-3916 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1110.

Anyone who wants to give a donation for the repairs can go to Pet Helper's website.
