Suspect arrested after two children killed Monday in North Charleston

North Charleston Police say a man they've arrested a man accused of attacking and killing two children inside a residence on Greenridge Road Monday afternoon.

Raashid White was arrested shortly before 8:30 p.m. off S. Antler Drive in North Charleston. Police had been searching for White since early Monday afternoon after an incident at the Jamison Park Apartments of Greenridge Road.

White has been charged with two counts of murder. He's in jail, scheduled to have a bond hearing Tuesday morning, however, magistrate judges cannot set bond on murder charges.

According to NCPD spokesman Spencer Pryor, officers were dispatched to 2245 Greenridge Road shortly after 3 p.m. Monday in reference to a complaint about a person having "mental issues" with children inside the residence.

A woman inside told police White forced her out of the residence, and locked the door. Once on the scene, police found two juveniles injured inside the residence. Both juveniles later died from those injuries, police say.
