Two men shot in Yemassee, one in critical condition

Officials say two men in Yemassee were transported to the hospital after suffering apparent gunshot wounds, one in critical condition.

The Colleton County Sheriff's Dispatch says it received a 911 call about a shooting at 6:47 a.m.

The victims were discovered by deputies near the intersection of Jones Avenue and Henderson Highway.

Both victims were transported to the Colleton County Medical Center Emergency Room. The victim in critical condition was then flown to the Trident Medical Center in Charleston.

Deputies say they found multiple shell casings at the scene, and a stolen vehicle from Charleston County in possession of the victims.
