Two sought in attempted robbery at West Ashley home

The Charleston Police Department is asking the public for help to identify two suspects in a burglary and attempted robbery in the early morning hours of March 12 at a West Ashley home.

The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Roustabout Way, police say.

"Two suspects made unlawful entry into the residence and made demands for the victim’s property. The suspects fled the residence after a brief struggle with a resident," according to the police department.

Police released sketches of the suspect.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s with a slim build, 5'8 tall, dark skin complexion and short hair with a four to five-inch scar on the left side of his face. He was dressed in black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is described as black male in his mid to late 20s with a stocky build, standing 5’10-5’11” tall with possibly a missing tooth. He was dressed in black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
