VIDEO: Woman tries to rob Ladson McDonald's with knife from drive-thru window

Goose Creek Police said a woman wearing a hard hat who tried to rob a Subway at knife-point earlier this week may have been involved in similar crimes. That's indeed the case, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

Charlene Ceely, 33, is now facing another armed robbery charge, after the BCSO says she tried to rob a McDonald's in Ladson Thursday afternoon from the drive-thru window, again armed with a knife. .

Surveillance camera video of the incident, which you can view above, shows a masked woman, who the BCSO says is Ceely, pulled up to the cashier’s window in the drive-thru without having placed an order. She then pulled a knife and demanded money. The cashier stepped back and closed the drive through window. The woman then drove off.

Ceely was arrested later Thursday night by Goose Creek Police in connection to the Subway armed robbery. The sheriff's office charged Ceely with armed robbery in the McDonald's case Friday while she was already in jail, after reviewing the surveillance video.

The North Charleston Police Department also has pending charges on Ceely, according to the BCSO. She is in jail at the Hill-Finklea Detention center awaiting a bond hearing.
