Charleston County School Board votes to waive storm makeup day
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
The Charleston County School District Board of Trustees has unanimously voted to waive a required storm makeup for October 11, when schools were cancelled in anticipation of Hurricane Michael.
This is the second of three makeup days the school board is allowed to forgive. State law requires the inclusion of at least three makeup days, in case of bad weather.
Officials say CCSD has already made up days on November 19 and 20 stemming from Hurricane Florence, and a third makeup day is in February.
