16-year-old dead after Highway 41 crash in Mount Pleasant

The Charleston County Coroner's office has confirmed the identity of a teen who lost her life after a crash on Highway 41 in Mount Pleasant Friday.

Photos show a car overturned in the marsh. While police have yet to provide details about the crash, the coroner's office is able to confirm that 16-year-old Faith Dutton lost her life at the Medical University of South Carolina as a result of injuries sustained during the accident.

The section of road where the crash happened was closed for nearly four hours Friday.
