Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old Charleston man accused of engaging in sexually explicit communication with a minor and soliciting a minor for sex.

Caleb Lide Jordan, of Charleston, was arrested Tuesday on four charges in connection to the exploitation of a minor.

Investigators state Jordan engaged in sexually explicit communication with a minor, encouraged a minor to create and send sexually explicit images and solicited a minor for sex.

Investigators with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force made the arrest.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson did not disclose the age or gender of the minor in a statement.

Wilson said investigators were led to Jordan after receiving a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Jordan is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment on each count.

He also faces two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to ten years imprisonment on each count.

Investigators with the Charleston Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations, also members of the state's ICAC Task Force, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement assisted with the investigation.
