Allegiant Air launching new routes to Charleston Int'l Airport

Low-cost carrier announces flight to Lowcountry from three U.S. cities (MGN)

Another low-cost carrier has announced plans to fly into Charleston International Airport.

Allegiant Air says it will now offer three new nonstop routes with fares as low as $48.

Allegiant says flights from Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh will begin service in April.

"We're thrilled to bring our unique brand of ultra-low-cost, nonstop travel to Charleston," said Lukas Johnson Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. "Charleston offers beautiful scenery and an authentic Southern charm that we know our passengers will enjoy, and we're so excited to be the new carrier of choice to this amazing city."

The new seasonal routes to Charleston International Airport (CHS) include:

1. Pittsburgh via Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) beginning April 4, 2018 with fares as low as $48.*

2. Cincinnati via Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) beginning April 5, 2018 with fares as low as $48.*

3. Indianapolis via Indianapolis International Airport (IND) beginning April 6, 2018 with fares as low as $49.*

The new nonstop routes will operate twice weekly and will bring nearly 30,000 passengers to Charleston, according to a press release from the airline. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at
