American Airlines announced Tuesday new flight options to Chicago O’Hare airport starting in 2018, including two in South Carolina.

The airline on May 4, 2018 will begin offering nonstop flights between Charleston International Airport and Chicago O'Hare.

American's Charleston-Chicago flights will be offered daily through Envoy Air, an American subsidiary, using its E-175 aircraft.

Flights between Myrtle Beach and Chicago will launch June 7, but will be available on weekends only. Those flights also will be provided by Envoy aboard E-175 aircraft.

Earlier this year, American launched new service from Chicago O'Hare to more than 10 new destinations. American currently operates more than 481 daily nonstop flights to nearly 130 destinations around the world through Chicago O’Hare, the company says.
