Arrest made in fatal North Charleston club shooting

Police have arrested a man and charged him with murder in the fatal shooting of another man at a nightclub in North Charleston.

Richard Antwan Grandison, 36, was taken into custody Thursday for the shooting at the Lovey Dovey Club over the weekend. Police say he was identified as a suspect early in the investigation.

According to police, officers were called to Club Lovey Dovey on Carner Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. to reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, officers found one man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, who was identified as 30-year-old Timothy Wilson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police there was a fight inside the club that led to the shooting.

Grandison is expected to have a bond hearing on Friday.
