Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Free breast cancer screenings with Roper St. Francis

Roper St. Francis will be having two major events this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The first event is composed of breast reconstruction panels. These panels are free educational opportunities for the Charleston community. There will be nine local surgeons participating in the event who all specialize in different surgeries. The audience will then be able to talk one-on-one with the surgeons.

There will be three panels. One in Mount Pleasant, one downtown, and one in West Ashley:

RSF’s second event is a free breast cancer screening for anyone uninsured or underinsured. The public’s response to this event has had tremendous response with over 90 people already signed up and only 15 slots left.

The free breast cancer screening is set for October 24 at RSF’s Cancer Center in West Ashley on the campus of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital.
