Camp Rise Above begins Monday, organizers still looking for donations
Charleston, S.C. (WCIV) —
It’s almost time for camp for some special kids here in the Lowcountry.
Camp Rise Above begins Monday at James Island County Park. It’s a chance for kids with serious illnesses, life challenges, and disabilities to have fun, life-changing experiences.
It’s free for the campers, but camp costs are $250 per kid, which is why organizers with Camp Rise Above are asking for help.
They are looking for “camperships,” which are donations and sponsorships from the community.
