Three people were accidentally shot in three separate Colleton County hunting accidents Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11.

Colleton County Fire-Rescue officials say two of the three victims were shot by other people, while a third accidentally shot himself.

Paramedics transported one of the victims, a 48-year-old Summerville man, to MUSC after he was shot in the leg Saturday morning near Colleton County's Catholic Hill community.

Witnesses told EMTs the man was hunting with a large group of people when he was accidentally shot with buckshot, receiving two wounds in one of his legs.

Another hunting accident Saturday happened near the Springtown community outside Canadys, Fire-Rescue officials say. Meanwhile, a man reportedly shot himself accidentally while hunting at an undisclosed location Friday.

Both men were taken by private vehicles to Colleton Medical Center for treatment, officials say.

The S.C. Dept. of Natural Resources is investigating the incidents.
