On Nov. 9, at 11:30 a.m., 33-year-old Kori Capers was shot in a home invasion at his residence in Moncks Corner, according to authorities. He was shot confronting the break-in suspects, police say.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated until he died on Nov. 17 at 7:50 p.m.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury states that an autopsy done today at MUSC shows he died from complications of three gunshot wounds.
His death has been ruled a homicide.
The death investigation is being conducted by The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and The Moncks Corner Police Department.
This follows another deadly home invasion on Nov. 14.

The Moncks Corner Police Chief is planning to have a news conference today at 2:30 at the police department regarding recent shooting investigations in Moncks Corner.
