Correctional officer accepted money for personal gain according to SC Dept. of Corrections
The South Carolina Department of Corrections says they have arrested Kennetta Renee Holloway for allegedly accepting a bribe as a public official and misconduct in office.
Holloway, a correctional officer at Allendale Correctional Institute, has been charged with the following:
- Accepting a bribe as a public official
- Misconduct in office
An affidavit says that Holloway accepted money for personal gain.
Holloway was introducing contraband into the ACI for a person in jail with SCDC in exchange for money the affidavit shows.
According to the affidavit, an investigation found that the inmate paid Holloway $100 on Sep. 21 of last year
