A home fire displaced two residents in a West Ashley home Monday night.

The Charleston County Dispatch Center received a 911 call just before 10 p.m. reporting a possible structure fire in the 1300 block of Pooshee Drive in West Ashley.

Charleston, Saint Andrews, and North Charleston Fire Departments, Charleston County EMS, and Charleston PD responded to the scene.

Emergency personnel arrived in approximately four minutes and reported heavy smoke venting from the garage area of the one-story, single-family home, according to the Charleston Fire Department.

"Firefighters started to attack the blaze while simultaneously searching the structure and working to limit the fire progress into the home," according to Fire Marshal Mike Julazadeh. "The bulk of the fire was contained in less than 15 minutes."

Members from the Fire Marshal Division have responded to the scene to investigate the origin, cause, and circumstances surrounding the event, according to Julazadeh.

The Red Cross is responding to assist two occupants that were displaced from their home.

No injuries were reported.
