Officer-involved shooting in North Charleston after reported armed robbery


North Charleston Police are on the scene of the 4800 block of Ashley Phosphate for a reported armed robbery with shots fired.

The incident was reported at the Spinx gas station, according to a dispatch supervisor.

We're told Dorchester County EMS responded to the scene, and transported someone only as a precaution.

A spokesperson with the State Law Enforcement Division says they have a representative on the scene.

At last check all entrances to the gas station were blocked with crime scene tape.

No word yet on whether the suspect or suspects have been caught.
