DCSO: 2nd arrest made in Isa Cooper murder investigation

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A second arrest has been made in connection to a murderalong Dorchester Road back in May, the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office announced.

Officials said 34-year-old John Allen Hilton was apprehended on Friday following the death of 34-year-oldIsa Duward Cooper.

Authorities said Cooper was shot early on May 23 in a parking lot at 8484 Dorchester Road.

Hilton was charged with murder and was taken into custody without incident.

Last month, Benjamin Davis was arrested and charged with murder amid the investigation.

Hilton is having a bond hearing on Friday afternoon.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office and the Dorchester County Coroner's Office have been investigating the death. Other agencies assisted with Friday's arrest.
