Deputies arrest 22-year-old for 20 car break-ins in Cane Bay neighborhood
RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) —
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office announced deputies have arrested a 22-year-old Ridgeville man for over 20 car break-ins and thefts in the Cane Bay neighborhood.
Wesley Thomas Jordan, 22, of Mill Pond Road in Ridgeville, was arrested on the 20 warrants and taken to the Hill Finklea Detention Center to await warrant service and a bond hearing, the BCSO states.
"Last week in Cane Bay, over 20 vehicles were entered in the middle of the night. Some had items stolen, others were just rummaged through while two had firearms stolen from them - most were unlocked," states the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office on its Facebook page. "Detectives with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office investigated these break-ins and thefts. The investigation led to the arrest of Jordan."
The department is asking residents to lock their cars and to not leave valuables, especially guns, in their vehicles.
