Investigators are looking for man who they say broke into an Orangeburg County car dealership, causing damage.

Orangeburg Sheriff Leroy Ravenell states the incident occurred on Jan. 15 around 9:30 p.m.

“This individual forced entry into the dealership and then once inside damaged a storage locker,” he said. “Fortunately, nothing appeared to be missing, including any vehicles. He arrived on foot, and he left on foot.”

Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators were dispatched to the Plaza Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership on the evening of January 15 after an alarm call was received.

A check of the facility for anyone still present turned up no one.

Along with a dealership employee, investigators watched security video.

The employee pointed out a storage locker that had been damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to open it.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OCSO Criminal Investigative Division at 803-533-5824 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
