Experts say gas prices are up a considerable amount compared to last year

According to Triple A, 36-million people will be hitting the roadways across the country, this weekend.
Many are also paying more at the pump, according to Triple A gas is up 31% compared to prices during Memorial Day Weekend 2017.
Experts say several factors are in play, including Subtropical Storm Alberto in the Gulf Coast and sanctions against Iran.
Gas around the Lowcountry averages out to $2.69/gallon.
