Extras needed for movie being filmed in Charleston starting in late October
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Want to be an extra in an upcoming movie that's filming in Charleston? Here's your chance.
A South Carolina-based casting agent says production company Fourth Wall Films is looking for extras to be in a move that will be shot in Charleston from late October through early December.
The casting director for the film, South Carolina-based Tona Dahlquist, has not said what movie this casting call is for.
However, the time frame coincides with the filming schedule for an upcoming "Halloween" sequel starring Jamie Lee Curtis that will be shot in Charleston.
Dahlquist has helped coordinate extras casting on several projects involving Danny McBride, star of HBO hits "Eastbound & Down" and Charleston-based "Vice Principals." McBride is one of the lead producers and writers for the "Halloween" remake.
The film company is looking for people of all ages, races, genders, body types, etc.
Casting directors are also looking for actual certified EMTs and paramedics, nurses and mechanics, plus a coroner, law enforcement officers (including crime scene investigators), as well as a photographer. If you have the necessary qualifications for any of those, you're asked to please include details when you submit your resume.
Speaking of resumes, here's what you'll need to send in:
- Two current photos of yourself (One full body, one head/shoulders)
*No hats or sunglasses in photos.
*Photos must accurately reflect your appearance.
- Name (for minors, include parent's name)
- Where you live
- Clothes sizes
- Details about your tattoos (if you have any)
- Phone number
- Details about your vehicle (year, make, model, color)
*Some extras will be cast with their vehicle
When you submit your resume, the casting directors ask that you title it this way: Race/ethnicity - gender - age - city, state.
For example: White female, 29, Charleston, South Carolina.
