First Responders trained onboard the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship

U.S. Customs and Border protection joined with local, state and federal law enforcement as well as first responders for training on board the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship, today.

The training was designed to give law enforcement and first responders a chance to help with border security.

In this training, law enforcement agencies and first responders met with Carnival’s Miami-based security management and shipboard teams .

Officials were able to tour the 855-foot ship where they learned about fire prevention, medical capabilities and security protocols on board the cruise line.
