The owners of a family owned food truck say it was stolen Tuesday morning in a Family Dollar parking lot at 1815 Dogwood Road in West Ashley.

The truck owners are hoping the public can help with it's recovery.

The owners, Matt Taylor and Tanarra Mason, own the food truck called Wraps Around The World.

The seven-by-14 foot trailer with a garden mural on the side cost the couple between $15,000 -$18,000.

According to the police report filed with Charleston County, the trailer was stolen between 7 and 8 a.m. on March 27 from the parking lot of a Family Dollar behind the owners' residence. It happened when the Tanarra was taking her children to school, according to the report.

Matt Taylor says, "We had a lock on the hitch, but apparently (thieves) were able to break it."

According to the report, marks were observed leading out of the parking lot, across Ashley River Road and turning around in a lot behind a business.

The owners say the family business is the only source of income to support their three children.

They go to local breweries, apartment complexes, schools, and businesses.

They are asking that if anyone sees the food truck contact the Charleston County Police Department.

A GoFundMe page has been started to help the family start over.
