Georgetown County deputies investigating shooting that left one hospitalized

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A man was hospitalized after being shot Sunday evening, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.

The victim reportedly told deputies he was walking down the road in Plantersville when someone came out of the woods and fired one shot, hitting the victim in the arm.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

Officials say there are no witnesses and the victim did not identify the shooter.

The case is still under investigation at this time.
