Berkeley County Officials make 22 drug related arrests over the weekend

Over the past weekend Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office conducted special operations in the Goose Creek and Sangaree areas.

According to Berkeley County officials, these special operations resulted in 22 arrests, 19 drug seizures, 62 warnings issued,10 traffic citations 1 weapons violation, and 1 recovered stolen firearm.

Among those taken into custody were James Reeves and Morgan Creel- both charged with possession of Methamphetamine, Michael Corris-Possession with intent to distribute, and simple possession of marijuana, and Possession of Cocaine Base.

“We will continue these targeted special operations throughout the Christmas holiday season,” Sheriff Duane Lewis stated, “They are driven by feedback from my Advisory Board members as well as various citizens from around the county.”
