Goose Creek schools put on brief lockdown for nearby burglary
GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCIV) —
Two Berkeley County schools briefly were placed on lockdown Friday morning.
Howe Hall AIMS and Sedgefield Middle in Goose Creek locked down their campuses due to reports of a burglary in the area, Berkeley County School District officials said.
Student safety was not threatened, and the lockdowns were precautionary, the school district said.
The lockdowns since have been lifted, and law enforcement has advised the school district the burglary suspect is in custody, BCSD officials say.
