Habitual robber sentenced to 25 years in Charleston County

Stanley Moultrie was sentenced to 25 years in prison in Charleston County.

In August 2016, Georgetown County already convicted Moultrie to life without parole.

According to prosecutors, in January 2015, Moultrie went on an armed robbery spree that spanned the state.

According to records, the spree included stores in Northwoods Mall, Citadel Mall, Georgetown Shoe Show, and the Columbiana Mall in Columbia.

Along the way, prosecutors say, Moultrie sexually assaulted a store clerk as he robbed the store.

According to court documents, Moultrie pled guilty to two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, two charges of possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and assault and battery in the second degree.
