Looking for a good fireworks show in the Charleston area this Fourth of July? Here are a few that are open to the public, many of which are free.

CHARLESTON
July 4th Extravaganza at “The Joe”

After the Charleston RiverDogs take on the Augusta GreenJackets Wednesday, the team will put on its Independence Day Fireworks Super Show, presented by WOW!, Kirkman Broadcasting and ABC News 4.

NORTH CHARLESTON
4th of July Festival, Riverfront Park

There’ll be music, food trucks, crafts and family fun to go along with the Lowcountry's largest 4th of July fireworks show this year in North Charleston. The festival is free, but you’ll need to bring your own chairs and blankets. ATMs will be available. Activities for kids include jump castles, games, a giant sandbox and a water fountain. Free offsite parking is available at the old Navy Hospital. Free shuttles to the park will be available. If you’re going, know that all bags will be searched, no grills will be allowed in the park, and no sparklers or outside fireworks will be allowed.

MOUNT PLEASANT
Fourth of July Fireworks Blast 2018, Patriots Point

Tickets to watch the Patriots Point fireworks show aboard the flight deck of the USS Yorktown are sold out, but don’t worry! You can still catch a good view of the fireworks for the cost of parking from on land at Patriots Point. Parking is $10. That’ll get you the fireworks show, live music, jump castles for the kids, and other family fun. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The fun starts at 4 p.m.

GOOSE CREEK
Fabulous Fourth in the Creek, Goose Creek Municipal Center

Goose Creek's annual Independence Day celebration features live music, food vendors, kids' activities, & a fireworks show finale. Admission & parking are free. No pets, alcohol, or coolers are allowed.

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND
Independence Day Celebration in the Park, J. Marshall Stith Park

Fourth of July fun on Sullivan’s Island starts at 6 p.m. at J. Marshall Stith Park. Permanent Vacation will play classic rock and beach music for shagging! Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics will present the fireworks show around 9 p.m. Get there early to get a good spot, and bring your chairs, but leave the coolers, pets, alcohol, and your own fireworks at home.

ISLE OF PALMS
Isle of Palms Fireworks Show, Front Beach

The Isle of Palms fireworks show takes place along front beach. The beach around the fireworks display will need to be cleared by 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in the municipal lots for $1 per hour, and there is metered parking for $1.50 per hour along Ocean Boulevard. Alcohol is prohibited on the beach. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

SUMMERVILLE
Red, White, and Blue on the Green, Gahagan Park

The family-friendly event will feature live music and food vendors, and most importantly, it’s free. Parking at Gahagan Park is extremely limited, so guests are encouraged to carpool. Offsite parking and shuttles are available. Bring chairs and things to help you stay cool, including small coolers. Large coolers, pets, tents, personal fireworks, grills nor alcohol are allowed.

KIAWAH ISLAND
Independence Day Fireworks, Night Heron Park & Sanctuary Beach

Kiawah Island will host two fireworks shows on July 4. The first will be at Night Heron Park around 9:15 p.m., followed by more at Sanctuary Beach beginning at 10 p.m. No coolers or pets are allowed at the park.

FOLLY BEACH
Grand Fireworks Display on the Beach

Folly Beach is planning a spectacular waterfront firework display this July 4. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. Alcohol is not permitted on the beach.
