Chris Singleton, son of Emanuel 9 shooting victim, gets married on live TV Tuesday night
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
Tonight's the big night! Chris Singleton will marry his fiancee Mariana De Andrade live on Lifetime Tuesday night.
The former Charleston Southern University star, and current Chicago Cubs prospect, announced the live event in January.
Chris says he's excited to make Mariana his life partner, because they've been through so much together, including the death of his mother in the mass shooting at Mother Emanuel AME in downtown Charleston:
"On the outside, it always looks like everything is good, but sometimes I was struggling inside. If I wanted to talk to her or needed a shoulder to cry on, she’s been that person. That’s what she has always been for me.”
My Great Big Live Wedding with David Tutera will air at 10 p.m. on Lifetime. The location of the wedding has been very secret, but Lifetime has said it is taking place in the Charleston-area.
