Charleston International Airport cancels many flights due to inclement weather (WCIV)

Since the Lowcountry could be seeing snow and sleet today, five of six airlines have canceled their flights for the day.

The airport tweeted yesterday, it has been monitoring the inclement weather for a couple of days.

As of now, some flights are still scheduled to depart.

The airport's Twitter feed asks, if you are flying out of CHS, to contact your air carrier before showing up to make sure your flight hasn't been canceled.

Savannah Hilton Head International Airport has also tweeted it has closed due to the weather conditions.

If you are flying out today, you can check your flight status here.
