Motorcyclist dies after hitting dog in roadway in Berkeley County, says Highway Patrol


The driver of a motorcycle died on scene after hitting a dog in the roadway on Greentown Road in Berkeley County, the Highway Patrol states.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling east when the motorcycle struck a dog in the roadway and the driver was thrown off the motorcycle.

The driver has been identified by the Berkeley County Coroner as Dustin Lee Nolasco, 18, of Jamestown. \

Nolasco was wearing a helmet, according to Highway Patrol.

The collision remains under investigation.
