Police: Man killed in drive-by shooting at Cummins Turbo Plant parking lot in N. Chas

    UPDATE: Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the 25-year-old victim.

    A man was killed following a drive-by shooting at Cummins Turbo Plant parking lot in North Charleston Thursday evening, police say.

    "Shortly after 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Cummins Turbo Plant on Palmetto Commerce Parkway regarding a male subject suffering from gunshot wounds," according to North Charleston Police Department. "On scene, officers located the male victim who was later pronounced deceased. "

    According to witnesses, the victim exited the ARD Warehouse facility and proceeded to the parking lot of the Cummins Turbo Plant when occupants inside of a vehicle drove up and fired shots striking the victim, according to the department.

    The suspects then left the area.

    At this time there is no suspect or vehicle information.

    The incident remains under investigation.
