Report: Summerville shooting victim ran two blocks for help

Summerville police have released more information in the shooting incident that happened on Magwood Drive in the Evergreen subdivision Wednesday.

According to SPD officials, officers were called to a Heber Road home because a man had shown up there with a gunshot wound.

The caller said man that had been shot was in her bathroom. He asked for a ride to the hospital so she called 911.

The victim, who was shot once in the arm and again in the left lower side, told police he was outside on Magwood Drive "when someone just started shooting." He ran two blocks from Magwood to Heber for help. He was taken to the hospital and didn't provide any more information.

Police said they looked in the caller's bathroom and found "a partially torn small clear plastic bag in the toilet" but it was empty. They also found a plastic bag with blood on it that did not belong to the homeowner.

Another victim was found on Magwood, deceased. He has been identified as Lewis Hay Frampton IV.

If anyone knows anything about this or any other crime, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

We will update this story when more information becomes available.
