Reward increased to $11,000 in Ariel Morgan case

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office officials announced an increase in the reward for information leading up to an arrest in the Ariel Morgan murder case.

The reward is now up to $11,000 thanks to an anonymous private donor, officials said.

On the night of June 7, 2014, the 19-year-old nursing student was shot and killed at a local block party on Tish Lane in Moncks Corner.

Morgan was home from Francis Marion University and excited to catch up with her friends.The party quickly became violent when several shots were fired from multiple guns. One bullet hit the college student who was later pronounced dead at Medical University Hospital.

"Anyone who may have been at the party or may be privy to 'street talk' which might help the detectives solve this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry at 1-888-CRIME-SC (1-888-274-6372) or 843-554-1111." BCSO officials said.
