Sumter truck driver brings home lottery win

Robert Miller

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – There’s nothing remarkable about a truck driver stopping at a truck stop for a bite eat, but in one man’s case, it really was a remarkable moment.

Robert Miller hadn’t finished his sandwich yet when he scratched off a $250,000 winning lottery ticket he bought from the Enmarket #892 store on Hwy.15 North in Harleyville.

“I couldn’t keep it to myself,” Miller said when he called his wife. “I thought I was going to bust if I didn’t tell someone I’d won.”

The couple says they’ll be debt free by the weekend and are going to buy a house.

Miller claimed the last top prize on the $10 Emerald Green 10s game at odds of 1 in 660,000.

Enmarket #892 store will received a commission of $2,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
