Suspect arrested for stealing camper from Summerville storage facility

The $45,000 camper stolen from a Summerville storage facility over the weekend has been recovered and a suspect has been arrested, according to police.

Brandon Vinluan, 31, of Smoaks, SC, was arrested for two counts of grand larceny.

According to an affidavit, Vinluan's truck broke down when he was on his way to another man's house in Summerville.

Charleston County deputies alerted Summerville Police Department about the truck, which matched the description of the one seen on surveillance stealing the camper.

Detectives were lead to Vinluan's address.

According to the police report, the truck was involved in a previous theft from the storage facility.

Vinluan is currently at the Dorchester County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
