FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WACH) -- Officials are looking for a murder suspect after a teen was found shot to death on the ground beside his vehicle over the weekend, according to Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill.
Trevis Quincy Boyd Jr., 17, suffered from multiple gunshot wounds on October 24th, according to Hill.
Boyd was found Saturday beside his vehicle at the intersection of Clark Bridge Road and Highway 215 South in the Jenkinsville area of Fairfield County. EMS was called to the scene and Boydwas pronounced deceased.
According to family and friends, Boyd was a senior at Richard Winn Academy and was on the honor roll and worked at a local grocery store.
Bruce Wadsworth coached the teen in a summer basketball league and said he was shocked when he heard the news.
"The was the last kid I thought it was, that was the furthest one from my mind," said Wadsworth. "I never thought it would have been Trevis."
Wadsworth said the teen was loved by everyone.
"A respected kid, and a beautiful smile. Beautiful smile," said Wadsworth.
Wadsworth said Boyd will leave a special place in everyone's hearts.
An autopsy is scheduled in Newberry on Tuesday.
