The American Heart Association partners with Wells Fargo for new heart awareness program
The American Heart Association has announced a partnership with Well's Fargo to launch the inaugural 'Charleston's Little Hats, Big Hearts' program.
The program will halp raise awarness of heart disease and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the country.
“We hope the Little Hats Big Hearts Campaign will raise awareness about congenital heart defects– a condition that affects about 40,000 babies born in the U.S. each year. We’re proud of this initiative as it brings together the community to rally around those families affected by CHD,” says Caperton.
All babies born at participating hospitals, during the month of February, will receive a red knitted cap.
The two Companies will distribute more than 300 baby caps to local hospitals.
