Police investigating domestic disturbance, Line & Flood streets, Charleston (WCIV)

UPDATE: Police have arrested the suspect in this morning's domestic violence call.

Police have charged Desean Xaundre Calvary, 21, of Flood Street with domestic violence 2nd degree and pointed a firearm at a person.

Burke High School and Charleston Developmental Academy were on lockdown, and Line and Allway streets were closed to traffic, as police responded Tuesday to a domestic disturbance involving weapons in Charleston.

The situation began shortly before 9 a.m. at an apartment at the corner of Flood Street and Line Street, according to Charleston Police Dept. public information officer Charles Francis.

Police were trying to determine if the male involved in the domestic situation was in the apartment, along with anyone else, Francis says.

After they spent hours at the apartment, police said they did not find the suspect inside.

The scene cleared just after 12 p.m.
