UPDATE: 3 taken to the hospital after a lightning strike on IOP, Saturday afternoon
The Isle of Palms Fire Chief, Ann Graham, updated ABC News 4 of the lightning strike on the beach yesterday afternoon.
According to Graham, a man, a woman and a child were in the water when lightning struck the man and woman.
The man was said to have lost consciousness briefly, while the woman went into cardiac arrest.
Graham says CPR was given to the woman by bystanders and the male victim.
Then the woman was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
It's unclear if the child was struck by the bolt as well, but Graham says the child was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The male victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition as well.
