USGS confirms multiple 2.2 magnitude earthquakes near Summerville
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WVIC) —
The United State Geological Service has confirmed two separate 2.2 magnitude earthquake took place near Summerville on Friday.
USGS says the first earthquake originated at 1:06 p.m., just over 3.5 miles below the surface.
the second earthquake occured two-and-a-half hours later at 3:42 p.m., originating about 2.7 miles below ground level.
