WATCH: Folly Beach man helping veterans fight PTSD by surfing nominated for CNN Hero award

You may have seen him hitting the waves out on Folly Beach. He has helped so many veterans, and now he needs your help.

Andy Manzi when he returned home from two tours in Iraq took up surfing as a way to deal with PTSD.

He eventually created the Warrior Surf Foundation to help other veterans deal with the trauma of combat.

Manzi was chosen as ABC News 4's Jefferson Award winner for public service in February 2017 in recognition of his efforts.

Now, Manzi for his work has been nominated for CNN's Hero of the Year. To vote for Manzi, go to The winner will be announced Sunday, Dec. 17.
