PARKLAND, Fla. (WPEC) - The Broward County Education Foundation set up a GoFundMe campaign for the victims of last week's shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

As of Thursday afternoon, the fund had raised more than $1.9 million with a goal of $2.2 million.

Stoneman Douglas student Cameron Kasky has also created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the March for Our Lives, to be held in Washington March 24. That fund had achieved more than $1.8 million of its $2 million goal as of Thursday afternoon.

According to Variety, George and Amal Clooney, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, and Oprah Winfrey each pledged $500,000 to the march. The publication also reported the Clooneys and Katzenbergs will participate in the March for Our Lives.

Investigators say a former student shot and killed 17 people at the school on Valentine's Day. Nikolas Cruz, 19, is being held on 17 counts of premeditated murder.
