NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The recent heavy rain has made some visitors at one Tennessee park a bit more visible to people.
A Memphis man posted photos of a giant snake in Overton Park in midtown Memphis!
FOX 13 reported that the snake is believed to be a non-venomous rat snake hanging from a tree and another a venomous copperhead on the ground.
Typically, these sorts of snakes are normal for the area - but not easily visible. The Memphis Zoo says it's likely that these snakes had to move to higher ground because the ground was too wet from recent rain.
The park advises people to stay on marked trails and make sure pets are always leashed.
