Cancer survivor Nick Price a national Jefferson Award finalist for public service

Nick Price, a teenage cancer survivor, has been chosen to represent the Lowcountry as a national Jefferson Awards finalist for his public service.

Price was chosen as the Lowcountry's monthly Jefferson Award winner in April 2017 in recognition of his work through his foundation.

Price started the Nick Price Foundation to help others with cancer after his own successful battle with pontine glioma, a rare brain tumor in the brain stem.

Price will find out if he won the award at the Jefferson Awards Foundation Awards national ceremony in Washington D.C., June 28, 2018.
