VIDEO: Chris Singleton raps about not letting his mother down
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
Chris Singleton, a member of the Charleston Southern University Baseball team and the son of one of the nine people shot and killed at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston last year says he is dedicated to doing what's right.
He used Twitter to show his passion over the weekend in a video that's just under a minute and a half long. In the video, Singleton raps about hatred, violence, family and his emotions. Singleton said it's all part of his therapeutic process.
As of 10 p.m. Sunday, the post had more than 1,000 retweets. Singleton posted the video at around 6 p.m.

If found competent, Dylann Roof, the man charged in the shooting at Emanuel AME, will be in court Monday, November 28 for the start of his federal trial.
