988 hotline launches next month, but will South Carolina be able to handle the calls?

Starting on July 16, if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, there will be a new number number to call that will connect you with someone to help, and it's only 3 digits: 9-8-8. But the state of South Carolina is not providing full funding for the new hotline's operation. (WCIV)
